A few days before the start of the last stage of SuperEnduro circuit in 2010, Julien Absalon, who won two Olympic gold medals, four world and several World Cups, has confirmed its participation awaited race Finale Ligure, on the 23rd and 24th October. The participation of Absalon, which is without doubt one of the strongest cyclists in the history of cross country specialties, is a great achievement for Finalenduro and growth of the circuit, which is becoming every year an interdisciplinary character, proving to be able to welcome and meet world-class athletes and all disciplines. Among the competitors at the start there are, in fact, other important names from the international scene, as Nicolas Vouilloz and Fabien Barel, interpreters of the great disciplines of descent, having won 10 world titles in Downhill Vouilloz and 2 world titles Barel.
Finale Ligure, after the successes of the 24-hour Mountain Bike, it is confirmed as a destination and then complete chassis, offering trails, as well as services, to suit all the disciplines required by the user. Finalenduro is a tourist and sports event consisting of a competition in the specialty mountain bike enduro, part of the international circuit gravity most popular in Europe: Superenduro.
Organised dall'Asd Superenduro collaboration with the Municipality of Finale Ligure, via the Centre's Integrated Consortium of Smiles and Bike Finale Ligure Hotel combines sport and entertainment. The race will be accompanied, in fact, a series of parallel events to be held in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II: an exhibition dedicated to the world of MTB, a concert and performances and Eazy Skankers tests Pump Track. On Saturday Finalmarina stores will be open until 24.
The race format (pedaling uphill and downhill timed special stages in the Rally of the formula) attracts riders from all over Europe and this year will reach the Final "cream" world: in addition to the aforementioned Absalon, Vouilloz and Barel, are expected Karim Amour (France, winner of the 2009 race in Finale Ligure and maximum interpreter Enduro in Europe), Florian Golay (Swiss champion of Superenduro) and Richie Schley (Canada, a true legend of the mountain bike, recently introduced in the hall of fame of Mtb, which was far in Finale Ligure in 1999, the year of the first 24h of Finale).
The event will kick off Saturday, October 23, at 10, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II with the opening of the exhibition with all the latest market Mtb 2011, many leading companies in the world, music and entertainment. The race will take place from the afternoon (16) with a prologue in the streets of the city's historic center Finalmarina, that will decide the starting grid the next day. To 19 is planned in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, an exhibition riders in the Pump Track (time trial between athletes competing on a track built with modular structures in wood), at 20.30 followed by a concert of free Eazy Skankers, formation of 6 items featuring reggae music.
Sunday, at 9, is to reopen the exhibition area. At 10.30 the children can experiment with Pump Track followed by an instructor. Athletes will start at 9.30 individually from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. You will arrive at about 16.30.
